Paddle Boarding…Last Time I Promise

As you can probably tell from previous posts, I kind of have a paddle boarding addiction. I just can’t stop going! It’s good exercise, it’s relaxing, and you get to be outside. I had a Groupon that basically got me half off, so before the weather turns cold I just had to go one more time. I brought some friends from school and had a great time.

Side note: We tried to go the day before, but failed. After getting off work we sped all the way their, trying to shorten the 40 minute drive to Georgetown. Only to make a wrong turn and end up 15 minutes after the last send off. It was definitely disappointing but I was glad we got to go the next day.

Days By The Water Are The Best Days

~ Paddle boarding down by the Georgetown Waterfront this past weekend ~

Nothing is more relaxing than being by the water. There is a nice breeze, the sun is out, and if you are doing any sort of water activity you are getting some exercise. One of my favorite summer activities is to go paddle boarding. Once you get the hang of standing it is a ton of fun and I find it very relaxing. The area by the Key Bridge is calm, without to much boat traffic and there is plenty of space to explore. I always make my way over to Roosevelt Island and paddle down the little off-spurt by the islands shore. The area over there is a little more relaxed and there is a lot to look at. p13
